Create a Blog Page on Squarespace [Full 2025 Guide]
If you want to add a blog to your Squarespace website in 2025 then you’re in the right place.

Step 1: Creating Your Blog Page
Go to your Squarespace site.
Click on Pages in your main navigation or the "not linked" section.
Click the + button to add a new page.
Select Blog from the options.
Choose from one of the four blog layouts available and give your blog a name e.g. blog.
Watch out for the automatic SEO title that Squarespace generates, often with a number at the end. You can remove unnecessary numbers to maintain a clean URL structure.
Step 2: Customizing Blog Layout
Click Edit to start customizing your blog page.
To change the layout of your blog select from the options and then play around with things such as spacing, where you want the title to appear and the aspect ratio etc.
Step 3: Editing and Publishing Blog Posts
You can create a new post by selecting the + icon and adding a post title and content.
Insert various blocks (text, images, videos) to create your blog post.
Hit Publish or schedule it for a later date via the settings menu.
Step 4: Blog Post Settings
Hit the three dots next tour blog post in the left hand sidebar and select settings to open up the settings of your blog post.
Here you can add a thumbnail image for your blog post by either searching the Squarespace directory or uploading your own image.
You can also add an excerpt for your post and select the category for your blog post.
Head to the SEO tab to change the SEO title and SEO description for your post to help boost it up search rankings.
