How to create a testimonial slider in Squarespace

If you want to add testimonials to your website, and I strongly suggest that you do, then there are tonnes of different ways you can display them on Squarespace.

The design style I return to time and time again for displaying testimonials on clients websites however, is a slider.

Testimonial sliders are sleek and timeless, they won’t look dated or garish in a few years time.

So if you want to create a testimonial slider on Squarespace, keep reading to find out how.

On the page you want to add your testimonial slider to, first add a new section. There are some pre-made testimonial section templates, but honestly? I don’t think they’re great.

Therefore I suggest you select a list section and then edit it to look how you want it to. So, add the list section to your page and hit save.

For the next step of this tutorial you actually need to open a new tab and navigate to the fsymbols website. Navigate through the symbols to Symbols > Symbols, Signs and Emojis > Star and select a star you feel meets your design style.

Back on your Squarespace website, head back to your newly created testimonial section and select Edit Content.

Within the content tab, select one of the elements and replace the title with your copied star. Paste it into the title section five times, to give a five star review. Repeat this for every element in your slider.

Next, in the design tab select Style and untoggle the Card option. This will remove the coloured card background. This is a personal preference but I think it looks so much better without it.

Within the editing panel you can also play around with changing the size of the testimonial images and alignment.

Back in the content tab, you can also add in your content for each element of your slider. The content will of course be each individual testimonial that you want to showcase.

You can also change the title text for your section.

Once you’re happy with how your testimonial slider looks, hit save and you’re done!
