Using Squarespace’s Back-End Search Feature

Many users are familiar with the front-end search bar on their Squarespace websites, but the back-end search function is a hidden gem that streamlines navigation. Here’s how you can use it to locate any page in just a few seconds:

Step 1: Access the Pages Panel

Log into your Squarespace account and open your website editor.
Navigate to the Pages section.
Locate the small search icon at the top of the panel.

Step 2: Search for a Specific Page

Click the search icon to open the search bar.
Type the name of the page you’re looking for. For example, if you need to edit your Privacy Policy, simply type “Privacy.”
The search results will highlight the folder where the page is stored. Click to open the folder and access the page instantly.

Even if a page is not linked or is disabled, Squarespace’s search tool can still locate it:

For instance, if you have an SEO landing page that’s disabled (e.g., “Liverpool SEO”), typing “Liverpool SEO” will bring it up. You can then open and edit the page just like any other.

Squarespace also allows you to perform a site-wide search:

For example, if you want to find email campaign drafts, simply type “email campaigns,” and they’ll appear in the search results without digging through various folders.
