Squarespace Guide: How to Add a Blog Post
If you’ve added a blog to your Squarespace website then the next step is to add a blog post right?
In this tutorial, I’m going to talk you through how to do exactly that.

Head to Website > Blog > Blog Content and click the + icon. This will add a new blog post to your blog.
You can then go in and add your blog post and post title. There’s also tons of different blocks you can add to your blog post such as images, embedded videos, newsletter sign-ups etc. No matter what you want to add to your blog post, you can add it as a block on your page.
You can also click Edit Section to edit layout options such as text alignment and features such as background colors.
Make sure to remember that whatever section changes you make to your blog post, will be made to all of the posts within your blog. So if you make the background red for one blog post, it will be red for them all.
Once you’re happy with the front end of your blog post hit save and head to the post settings.
Here you can edit the backend of your blog post. You can change the featured image and URL, add tags and categories for post, and change the SEO meta description and page title. Make sure you don’t forget to edit the backend of your blog post, it’s just as important as the front!
Once you’re all done within your settings you can choose the status of your blog post. You can publish it straight away, schedule it to go live at a later date, or even set it to be reviewed by someone else before it’s set live.
As you can see, there’s loads of ways you can customize your blog post and adding one is super simple.
