What are Squarespace saved sections? (and how to use them)

What an update! So Squarespace has just rolled out saved sections, and this has been an absolute game changer for me and the hundreds of other designers that I know. Being able to save a section now means that you don't have to just duplicate a page that you've already built.

Saved sections let us save specific sections of a page and reuse them across our Squarespace sites. This makes it easier to create templates and streamline the design process, duplicating design elements throughout a site.

To use saved sections, you can simply select the section you want to save and click the "save section" button. The section will then be added to the your list of saved sections, which can be accessed by going to the "my saved sections" tab.

One of the major benefits of this feature is that it saves time and eliminates the need to recreate elements on multiple pages. Instead of building out a section from scratch, you can simply select a saved section and place it on the page.

I find this especially useful when looking to create multiple pages with similar elements, such as a template for a blog or a gallery.

Overall, saved sections have been a massively helpful addition to Squarespace’s roster and it’s going to streamline the process of building out sites at scale for users all around the world.
